De Vinci Higher Education and IBM have formalised the signing of a partnership agreement. This agreement sets out a framework for cooperation in the areas of education, skills development, and professional practices related to data and artificial intelligence.
In this context, the signed agreement clarifies the areas of collaboration and the objectives pursued by both partners.
IBM and ESILV: a long-term relationship now formalised
IBM and ESILV already share an established relationship. The company sponsored a graduating class a few years ago and several educational initiatives have been carried out jointly.
The signing of this agreement formalises these ties and provides a common framework for all schools within De Vinci Higher Education.
The aim is to strengthen the links between engineering courses, students and the technological challenges faced by companies, in line with existing collaborations.

Clearly defined educational objectives
This partnership provides for increased IBM involvement with students throughout the academic year. It is based on contributions to educational programmes, particularly in the context of hackathons, as well as support in skills development and preparation for the professional environment.
IBM’s commitment focuses mainly on uses and learning, with an emphasis on data and artificial intelligence. Hackathons conducted with ESILV have already illustrated this collaboration, which is set to continue in the coming months.
Although recruitment prospects remain limited in the short term, the company wishes to strengthen its involvement in training programmes directly linked to the practices and tools used in the workplace.
A particular focus on data and artificial intelligence
The collaboration comes at a time when mastering data and AI technologies is a major challenge for engineering programmes.
IBM has a specific interest in rolling out its solutions to students, particularly through watsonx, its portfolio of artificial intelligence products designed to accelerate the integration of generative AI into professional workflows.
These tools are used in practical educational projects, enabling engineering students to tackle issues similar to those encountered in the professional world.
Concrete opportunities for students
For ESILV students, this partnership translates into several direct benefits. The projects offered allow them to work on AI tools used in business, particularly via the watsonx suite, in conditions close to real life.
Engineering students also have access to training and certification courses via the IBM SkillsBuild platform, promoting the development of technical skills in data, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
These programmes help to strengthen students’ preparation for the professional environment, in line with the expectations of the sector.
A flexible and evolving agreement
The signed agreement defines a general framework for cooperation, without any financial commitment or obligation regarding events.
It allows both parties to adapt their actions according to educational projects, feedback and identified needs.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from IBM, the management of the Léonard de Vinci campus and ESILV, as well as students involved in projects already completed.
A collaboration set to continue
This partnership opens up a progressive working dynamic, structured around educational initiatives, collaborative projects and regular exchanges between academic teams and the company.
The future of this collaboration will be shaped by the initiatives implemented, in line with the skills required in the fields of data and artificial intelligence.
