Le Figaro Étudiant has revealed its annual ranking of engineering schools for 2023. This year, the editors have published their top ten post-bac engineering schools.
In 3rd place, among 102 of the best “integrated preparatory” schools, and the leading school in the Paris area, ESILV is among the top 3 of the best engineering schools accessible directly after the baccalaureate:
“It is above all in terms of employment that ESILV makes the difference, with 91.9% of graduates finding a job in less than two months”, notes the Figaro Étudiant editorial board—the Figaro Étudiant editorial team notes.
Integrated preparatory classes or Prépa intégrée are two-year post-secondary education programs in France that combine undergraduate studies with a preparatory curriculum for engineering schools. These programs are designed to prepare students for entrance exams to highly selective engineering schools in France, known as “Grandes Écoles.”
In this 2023 edition, ESILV is included in the ranking of France’s 20 best engineering schools.
What is Post-bac, and how to find your Master’s degree in France?
To obtain a Master’s degree in France, first, you need to understand how the French system works: A post-baccalaureate program is a course of study pursued by someone who has already earned a bachelor’s degree. It is usually designed to help individuals further their education, prepare for graduate study, or change careers.
These programs can be found in various fields, from science and engineering to education and the arts.
Rankings can guide you in choosing the top engineering schools in France.

This year, the Figaro Étudiant has sifted through 102 public and private engineering schools, recruiting after the baccalaureate, accredited by the Commission des titres d’ingénieur, to deliver the title of graduate engineer.
Figaro Étudiant listed the post-baccalaureate schools accredited to deliver the engineering diploma to establish its ranking. The editorial staff then evaluated these schools mainly by using the certified data of the Commission des titres d’ingénieurs (CTI).
The editors used the CTI data to compare the schools according to their academic excellence (research, double degrees, level of graduates), their international influence (international rankings, expatriation abroad, percentage of graduates working abroad, etc.), and their relations with companies (salaries, alumni network).
The quality of ESILV’s training, praised by Figaro Étudiant
The Engineer’s degree (diplôme d’ingénieur) is entirely taught in English. This two-year Master Degree in Engineering provides an outstanding opportunity to experience La French Tech at the heart of Europe’s premier business district.
Master’s Degree in Engineering (Grande Ecole Programme) is geared toward fresh graduates hoping to expand their scientific knowledge to create and master tomorrow’s technologies.
