PineapplePay, winners of the best Student-Entrepreneur project Award at the Made in 92 Semifinals
PineapplePay is a startup located primarily at La Defense, in Haut-de-Seine (92), a department of the inner suburbs of Île de France. It is in this light that the three partners decided to take part in Made in 92, the competition for new companies in the Hauts-de-Seine region, which contribute significantly to the attractiveness of the department.
More than 700 applications were submitted for this 7th edition of the competition and 44 were selected to participate in the semi-final held in Bois-Colombes on May 19.
Among the winners of the semi-final round was the PineapplePay team, which won the Best Student Entrepreneur Project category. The three ESILV entrepreneurs have been selected for the Grand Finale, which will take place on September 14.
Delivering the best of the web to the store
With PineapplePay, Alexandre, Vincent, and Joe propose a digitalized payment system to avoid lines in physical stores.
PineapplePay allows customers to scan their items directly on their smartphone via a mobile application, pay their cart online, and leave the store without having to go through a line. Put more simply: “Scan, pay & leave“.
What is PineapplePay’s mission?
PineapplePay is a Scan & Go solution with a mission to help physical businesses to deliver a better client experience.
- Avoid waiting in line in stores
- An improved omnichannel solution
- A way to simplify customer’s shopping journey
The overall idea is to “remove this thorn from the consumers’ side” and thus make them want to come to the store again. For PineapplePay, “the physical shopping experience remains a must!”
