The ESILV class of 2023 receives official support from Christophe Rauturier, software operations & customer director at Stellantis. This patronage reinforces the bond of trust that has existed since 2013 between the Stellantis group and ESILV.
The three-year mentoring agreement will allow ESILV students and graduates to discover Stellantis and its business lines with a view to future recruitment in the automotive industry, as part of the industry 4.0 revolution, which is shaping the future of manufacturing.
Making the most of ESILV’s hybrid talents in the automotive industry
According to the Class of 2023’s patron, Christophe Rauturier, ESILV’s strength is the “multidisciplinary nature of its courses”, which empowers students to go beyond the limits of a ” traditional ” engineer. Thanks to their cross-disciplinary training and openness to the world, ESILV engineers can find their place in the automotive industry and contribute to a market undergoing profound change.
Thanks to this partnership, more than 700 students in the Class of 2023 – 22% of whom are girls – will develop their technical and industrial skills to enter the automotive industry throughout their engineering studies.
For example, in 2020, despite the Covid crisis, no less than 17 ESILV interns and work-study students joined the company’s ranks as part of their work-study or engineering course.
Recruitment by Stellantis in recent years has included students from the Modelling and Digital Mechanics major and students from the double degree programme with EMLV.
To help the student engineers understand the challenges and innovations of the automotive industry, specialists from the French manufacturer will give several talks and conferences on technical topics related to Stellantis’ fields of activity.
The automotive group’s teams will also be involved in the school’s pedagogy through several collaborative activities:
- Participation in ESILV’s Perfection Committee
- Organization of a series of conferences for 4th and 5th-year students
- Offering internships, work-study programmes and jobs to students
Christophe Rauturier will also be expected at the graduation ceremony in 2024 to pass on a message to these engineers ready to enter the job market.
Created in 2021 by merging Fiat Chrysler and PSA, the Stellantis group is the fourth largest car manufacturer globally.
